our visit to Mcgillacuddy Hills

In June we went to visit my Uncle Mike and Aunt Karla in Sand Springs, OK.  They have a little farm with chickens, goats, donkeys, dogs and an amazing vegetable garden!  Connor loved everything thing about the farm including the goats!!  Aunt Karla made us a delicious brunch using her chickens eggs, goat milk ice cream and fresh produce from her garden!  We had a great time and wished we could have stayed longer!

9 Months!

Connor is 9 months old.  Crazy!  He is getting so big and becoming a little boy.  Everyday he seems a little bit older and discovers new things.  I will never get tired of watching him explore the world and watch his cute little face light up at every new discovery.

At his 9 month appointment Connor weighed in at 23 pounds 4 ounces (85%) and was 28 3/4 inches long (70%).  His weight gain has slowed down (thankfully!!) and he continues to get longer.   He drinks breast milk 5 times a day (nurses at home and takes a bottle at the babysitters) and eats fruits or veggies 2-3 times a day and seems to really like everything he has eaten! No picky eater here!

Connor continues to use rolling as his main mode of transportation but has started to scoot of his tummy across the floor and he absolutely loves standing (with assistance).  He would play standing at the coffee table all day if I would let him.  He is too wobbly to stand there alone and not strong enough to hold up all 23+ pounds of himself!

I turned the big 3-0 this month and spent a relaxing weekend with my family in Dallas to celebrate.  We also went to Oklahoma for Anthony's brother's wedding.  We had a nice time visiting with family and friends.  The day after the wedding we went to my Aunt Karla and Unlce Mike's farm in Sand Springs.  I'll do another post with pictures from that adventure!

Here are a few shots from Connor's 9 month photo shoot!
